Transportation In Cali

We've had a lot of changes in the transportation system in the last few years right here on Cali. Some years ago, the transportation wasn't so good. A lot of traffic jams, so much pollution, noise, etc. And now, with the "Mio", things are even worse.

Between the years 2002 and 2005 we had a tremendous increase of the public taxis. A lot of them arrived from Bogota "Because we needed them". I say BS! we didn't need anymore taxis, they're so reckless, causing more accidents.




After that, the HUGE change was the implementation of the "Mio"


Most of the people think that the "Mio" was the solution to all of our transportation issues. What they don't know is that everything is a complete mess with this new "bus".









There aren't enough routes to all the city, so people have to find the closer station, even if it's more than 5 blocks away. The traffic jams are the worst ever!
So, in conclusion, we are in the same mess as some years ago. We're still involved in traffic jams, reckless drivers, sooo much noise and more cars circulating than ever. Let's hope that situation change, and for a nearly future, the "Mio" might be more organized and efficient.
